I have been diagnosed with chronic undifferentiated schizophrenia...

Question:
Meds used on me that have FAILED were: stellazine, haloperidol, mellarill
I have been diagnosed with chronic undifferentiated schizophrenia...seems the doctors are always playing a guessing game when it comes to med treatment...I have tried many meds early on but finally was able to tolerate: thiothixene (also known as: Navane)
I have basically been taking this med for the last 20 years...it tends to relieve the anxiety that causes psychosis...by depressing the dopamine levels in the brain...too high a dose causes breathing problems and long term usage could cause tardive dyskonisia (uncontrolled muscular twitching)...the proper dose is around 10 mg per day...
I am not saying this is the only drug that shows promise in treating schizophrenia…I am saying, it seems to have worked for me…
Hope anyone in need finds someone who truly wants to help…too many psychiatrists are purely in the business for the money...
They take 5 minutes and write one prescription to make $100...I have to work over 20 hours to make that kind of money...doesn't seem fair.
Well enough of my rambling...hope things work out for the emotionally troubled...
One last comment: reduce stress... and you've solved 80% of the problem...the other 20% is to get proper nourishment.
