Question:
I have a ten year old son who I am positive is MD. He experiences the
same kind of physical manifestation of mania (a weird feeling in his
head, voices echoing) as when I go off my meds. He's normally the
sweetest kid in the world, but right now he's being belligerent and
grandiose. Seeing as I am MD (therefore not credible) and that I belong
to one of those @%$#%&* HMO's, I can't get a doctor to A) take me
seriously or B) give a *&^%. In the meantime this kid is really
suffering.
Has anyone had any experiencing in giving St. John's Wort to children?
If so, what is the dosage? I'm willing to give this a try.
Answer:
My son is 10, and is BP. If you are on AOL, I would like to send you some
information on a chat group and mailing list for parents whose children
are BP or suspected of BP. i question ariana as well, but i firmly believe that diagnosis in
general is encuraged today for health coverage resons, no diagnosis =
no money, and for financial reasons, more diagnoses = more pills
sold and more therapy sessions. doctors dont get paid for treating people who are not ill.
but they do get paid for treating people who are mis-diagnosed.
by the way, has anyone here ever been UN-diagnosed?
just curious.
